Vet Varsity Researchers earn laurels at National Conference

The faculty and postgraduate students of the Department of Livestock Production Management (LPM), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, participated in 29th Annual Convention of Indian Society of Animal Production & Management (ISAPM)-2023. It was held at Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar with theme “ABHIYUDAYA: Futuristic Approach to Viable Animal Production vis-à-vis Climate and Calamity Challenges”. The scientists of the department were bestowed with felicitation awards from the association in admiration of their contribution and active participation by Dr. Daljeet Kaur, Dr. Mandeep Singla and Dr. RaviKant Gupta in different technical sessions of conference Dr. Rudra Narayan Babu, M.V.Sc student of the department received ‘Dr. N.S.R Sastry Young Scientist Award’. Dr. N.S.R Sastry Eight Sisters Award- was given to Dr. Vanlalmangaihsanga, Ph.D. Scholar. Ph.D. scholars, Drs. Sarishti Katwal and Gurpreet Kaur, received prizes for their oral presentations. Dr. Yashpal Singh, HoD of LPM, praised the staff and students for their dedication in the field of livestock production management research. Dr. S P S Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, complimented the department head, staff members, and students and urged them to take part in similar conventions with all of their enthusiasm. Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor congratulated all the participants and recipients of awards. He stated that GADVASU is receiving attention in both national and international arenas, adding that this recognition is a result of the diligent work put in by the teachers and students.
