The purpose of Fresher’s Day party was to give new entrants the sought comfort and create a homely aura. The program also witnessed multiple performances from students covering musical and dance fiestas from the state of North East, J&K, Punjab and other states. Chairman Gurchran Singh, Executive Director Gurikirat Singh & Campus Director Honey Sharma Welcomed the new Students. Famous singer Ravinder Grewal was a special Guest at this occasion. Later, the stage was set for fresher-s to showcase their talent and compete for the Mr & Miss. Fresher-s Crown. The ceremony saw many dazzling performances by both seniors and juniors alike from energetic dance numbers that made the day more charming. Modeling rounds were there, where juniors suppressed their feelings and introduced themselves. Ms. Khyoda Yakum from the paramedical wing who was crowned as Ms. Fresher said that she is thrilled to be a part of the GGI student community. Mr. Harshit from the BCA department was crowned Mr. Fresher. Chairman Gurchran Singh encouraged the students while distributing prizes among the winners of the contest Fresher’s Day party and highlighted the need to inculcate positive attitude, leadership & team spirit in the life. According to them it was the day of love, affection, trust and above all the bond of togetherness and belongingness. They also urged students to work hard and get good results for the college and wished all the students success for their upcoming future. Later, students were advised to amalgamate their creative skills in their respective profession to compete in the era of globalization with a positive spirit.
